Plastics Densification

As with all handling of waste, transportation cost is one of the most significant and most expensive factors. It is highlighted when the transported material is 98% air, such as used EPS (Expanded Polystyrene).

By using the PolyCycle™ machine, the volume of expanded polymers is reduced by up to 95% during the 3-stage process, reducing the transportation and handling cost up to 20 times.

The final result is a free flowing material, suitable for reprocessing and recycling and greatly reduced in volume.

Current methods of compacting used EPS mechanically requires further expensive ancillary equipment and manpower to reprocess & recycle properly.

In addition the densified product produced by the PolyCycle™ machine is far superior in density, compared to the compacted block produced by mechanical means. This clearly lowers the transportation costs of transporting waste EPS.

Thanks to the automated cyclone bagging system, which bags the densified polystyrene, handling time and costs are far less than with any other mechanical compaction of expanded plastics.
